Kavaklıdere Winery was established as Turkey's first private sector wine producer in 1929 by Ankara's Kavaklidere district in Cenap. Over time, Kavaklıdere wines, with the contributions of equipment and wine specialists brought from Europe, has become a well-known brand that produces high-quality wines in the country.
Kavaklıdere, the name of the company has been forced to stay in a growing city and to move its vineyards and winery to a more suitable area. In 1987, 20-hectare vineyards and 40 thousand hectolitre new production facilities were built on the land taken in Ankara-Akyurt province.
